CAOS 2019

Team Imagineers are excited to be participating in Carshalton Artists Open Studios this year, thanks to National Lottery Funding for our work at St Helier Hospital. We will be running two free workshops at Honeywood Museum, the aim is to create a piece of art that will be installed in the hospital to enliven a ward or corridor...position to be decided. Let's hope you can come and join us and contribute something to lift the spirits of those in St Helier. The workshops will be from 2-4pm, one on Saturday 22nd June and the other on Sunday 30th June. You can drop-in and join in with the sewing and/or felting work we will be teaching. The sewing activity is limited to those above 7 years of age.

Glorious Painted Glass Panels

We have finally installed four painted glass panels in the Acute Stroke Unit at St Helier Hospital. Simon Honey and Hana Horack-Elyafi worked over several days to paint the panels which are 6mm toughened glass. Both had nightmares about the glass breaking or falling off the windows, thank God the glue from CS1 worked exactly as promised and the panels were easy to attach to the windows--apart from having to duck the tops underneath the roller blinds at the top. Staff were amazed and excited and quite proud to be the only ward in the country to have such special windows! Physios and speech therapists said they can't wait to take their patients to sit there and work with them.

FREE WORKSHOP

A combination of Earth Dancing and Earth Painting! Meet up by the Pavilion Cafe in Beddington Park (Sutton, Surrey) on 30th May (2-4pm) for a free session of liveliness! The session will be run by three professional artists with specialisms in Biodanza and community arts. We'll use the football pitch line painting machines to draw giant patterns and then use our feet to dance around them.
