Ceramics was a much loved activity! Gorgeous slab built vases were created by all our participants. Thankfully we were Team Imagineers at full strength and were not almost as relaxed as the happy participants! If anyone knows any over 18's with a disability, please send them along to Clusters, who meet every Wednesday, with lunch served for £3.00, special diets catered for!
These vases were made by rolling out slabs of clay, pressing textured surfaces to create patterns and then painted with black and white slip. Firing will take place once they are dry...one firing to bisque, then we will dip them into a clear transparent glaze....quite possibly adding some gold lustre...I am pushing for a little extra expenditure ;).
