We have finally installed four painted glass panels in the Acute Stroke Unit at St Helier Hospital.
Simon Honey and Hana Horack-Elyafi worked over several days to paint the panels which are 6mm toughened glass. Both had nightmares about the glass breaking or falling off the windows, thank God the glue from CS1 worked exactly as promised and the panels were easy to attach to the windows--apart from having to duck the tops underneath the roller blinds at the top.
Staff were amazed and excited and quite proud to be the only ward in the country to have such special windows! Physios and speech therapists said they can't wait to take their patients to sit there and work with them.
