WE have an idea for a community art project celebrating everyday heroes of COVID-19, that includes you for staying at home and saving lives! We would like people to make a clay heart or angel, these will be fired by local ceramic artists and collected to be put together on permanent display in hospitals or public buildings.
The number of installations will depend on the number of pieces we collect. There will be online lessons that show you how to make your heart or angel. The clay will be distributed by your local ceramicist or you collect from their driveway on your daily walk. You would then need to return the clay to the ceramics artist for firing.
You can also record a 30 sec video or take photos of you making the work, make a little comment or say something nice to everybody. We would upload these to an online exhibition and make a QR code link that would be part of the installation.
